Predictions
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are playing in the NFC Championship Game for just the fourth time in franchise history, as they travel to Green Bay on Sunday to renew their old division rivalry with the Packers.
Here are our bold predictions for Sunday’s big game:

Predictions For 2021 Prophecies
Back in Week 6, the Bucs responded to a 10-0 deficit at the end of the first quarter with a 38-0 run over the final three quarters in a dominant win over the Packers. That game was in Tampa, in October, though. This time around, don’t expect the Bucs to go into snowy Lambeau Field and come away with a four-touchdown victory.
More press-man coverage (again)
Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports
One of the biggest reasons the Bucs upset the Saints in the divisional round was their decision to play way more press-man coverage, instead of sitting back in soft zones and letting Drew Brees pick them apart like he did in the regular season. The Bucs need to do more of the same against Aaron Rodgers and company if they want a similar result this week.
Chris Godwin goes off

Mike Evans will be locked up with Jaire Alexander, and he’s still working his way back from a knee injury. Antonio Brown will be a game-time decision with a knee injury of his own. Godwin struggled with drops against Washington, and caught just four passes for 34 yards against the Saints. One of the most complete pass-catchers in the NFL, Godwin is primed for a big day, and the Bucs will move him all around the field to open up plenty of opportunities.
Run game, defense will upstage QB matchup
Predictions Meaning
Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports
Just like last week against the Saints, all of this week’s pregame hype has been centered around the legendary showdown between Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Also like last week, defense will tell the story Sunday, but also the ground game on both sides, considering the cold and likely snowy weather that awaits both teams. Whoever plays better defense and can run the ball more effectively will win this game.
Brady, Gronk find the end zone and make history

Football Forecasts Predictions
Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski have connected for 12 playoff touchdowns, which is tied for the most in NFL history with the legendary duo of Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. Both Brady and Gronk will certainly join Montana and Rice in Canton someday, but before they do, they’ll connect for a score on Sunday to put themselves in the top spot on that list.
Bucs win turnover, penalty battle

One of the biggest reasons the Bucs are still playing this late in the season, instead of being at home like they were the previous 12 seasons, is because of improvements in the turnover and penalty departments. The Bucs aren’t beating themselves like they’ve done so many times before, and will be a huge factor in Sunday’s game.
Lavonte David has the game Devin White just did
Earlier this week, Ndamukong Suh called Lavonte David the “unsung hero” of the Bucs defense. It may seem strange that arguably the best off-ball linebacker in the NFL for much of his nine-year career could be “unsung,” but it fits. Second-year linebacker Devin White played the game of his life last week against the Saints, but don’t be surprised if David makes a splash of his own this time around. After finally making the playoffs for the first time in his career, David will stop at nothing to make sure this run ends in the Super Bowl.
Davante Adams won't get shut out
Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports
Last week against the Saints, Tampa Bay blanked Michael Thomas, who was targeted four times and came away with zero receptions. That won’t be the case this week for Davante Adams, who might just be the best and most complete receiver in the league right now. The Packers will need more than a big game from just Adams, but he’ll get his with Rodgers throwing him the ball.
