I couldn’t have been happier to collaborate with The National Young Farmers Coaltion again when they called up about being involved in their Bootstrap Blog Series. In 2013, all of their bloggers were young and beginning lady dairy farmers, and they invited us on board to consult and collaborate in the production of videos of each farmer contributor to the blog series.

On the Anatomy of Thrift is an instructional series Farmrun created with Farmstead Meatsmith. Their principal intention is instruction in the matters of traditional pork processing. In a broader and more honest context, OAT is a deeply philosophical manifesto on the subject of eating animals. Harvest Day is the second in the series, which explores the ‘cheer’ that is prepared on the day of slaughter, and dives deep into the philosophy and psychology of our relationship to animals.

Dr. Jonathan S. Plotsky

Dr. Plotsky graduated from George Washington University Medical School in 1986 and completed his residency in internal medicine through the University of Pittsburgh in 1989. Dr. Plotsky is board certified in Internal Medicine and has practiced primary care medicine in Montgomery County for over 20 years.

Dr. Sujoy G. Tagore

Dr.Tagore graduated from the Temple University School of Medicine and the Department of Health Education with a combined MD/MPH degree in 2004. Dr.Tagore then trained at Georgetown University Hospital and completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2007. He is board certified in internal medicine. Dr.Tagore has spent time practicing medicine abroad in underserved regions of the world and has spent several years practicing hospital-based medicine prior to transitioning to primary care with Plotsky Medical Associates.

Annemarie Zabbara, MPAS, PA-C

Annemarie graduated from Towson University with a BS in Biology/ Pre-Medicine. She went to Chatham University Physician Assistant Program in Pittsburgh and graduated with a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2003. As a Physician Assistant, Annemarie worked for 3 years in an Internal Medicine practice on Long Island, NY. After moving back to the DC area, she worked for 3 years in a busy Internal Medicine practice in Bethesda, Maryland. She worked as a Physician Assistant at the Center for Sleep & Wake Disorders from 2010-2015 and has also been an Adjunct Faculty member at The George Washington University Physician Assistant Program teaching the Clinical Skills Laboratory since 2008.

Paul Thorn received his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University in 1993. He graduated in 2003 from George Washington University’s Physician Assistant Program with a Master of Science in Health Sciences. Paul is a board-certified physician assistant and has been in practice since 2004.

Jessica Allen PA-C

Jessica graduated from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre PA with a BS in Physician Assistant Studies. After working in Pennsylvania for 11 years, she moved to Maryland and worked in a busy Internal Medicine practice in Bethesda for over 6 years. Jessica worked as an Adjunct Faculty member for the Drexel University PA program from 2008-2009. Jessica is a board certified Physician Assistant and has been in practice since 1999.
